About Our Practice

Panzer Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery (PDCS) was born in 1978, when I opened a small dermatology office in Pike Creek Valley. I started with one employee, a receptionist. In 1981, I outgrew that 750 sq ft office, and moved to Christiana Medical Center, across the highway from Christiana Mall. As growth continued, I moved again into a larger space in Omega Professional Center, where in 1989 my brother Scott joined me. Soon we were bursting at the seams again, and built our own office behind Home Depot in Christiana, a 6200 sq ft office that I was SURE would be our final move. But expansion continued, with the addition of Dr. Helen Mashek, and then Dr. Chris Conti for Mohs surgery (microscopically controlled skin cancer removal).  After Dr. Paul Sabini joined us, expanding our services to include facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, we needed more space again, and had to move in late 2005 to our current location at Apex Medical Center. Since then, we have added two more excellent dermatologists: Dr. Heidi Kozic, who also does Mohs surgery, and Dr. Lori Spencer. Drs. Conti and Kozic are still the only fellowship trained Mohs surgeons in the state!  We now occupy 20,000 sq. ft of office space on two floors, and there are 7 dedicated physicians, 6 physician’s assistants, and almost 90 support staff that make up the current version of PDCS.

All of us at Panzer Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery strive to provide the best possible care for our patients, in the realms of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our staff is well-trained and dedicated, from the receptionists to the nurses to the business office personnel to the providers, and we are always looking for ways to improve our service to patients. We bend over backwards to help people with insurance issues, and with their prescription coverage, in an era when these things have become maddeningly complicated and frustrating for all.

Please take a few moments to browse through our web site, and discover more about the services we offer. There’s a “quick contact” short form on the left of any page which you can complete in just a few seconds, so feel free to ask questions!

Yours in good health,

Peter B. Panzer, MD
